This is our sixth year to participate in a national postcard exchange with other teachers
around the USA.  We had a wonderful time last year sending and receiving postcards.
Each day going to the mailbox was an exciting event for all of us.
A postcard exchange is an exchange between teachers across the USA and beyond.  Each
classroom must send out a postcard to each of the states represented.  We give
information about our state and school on the postcard.  As the postcards come into our
classroom, we find the states on the map and do a mini-lesson in Geography about that
state.  It is very educational and the students love it.

We are going to continue our postcard exchange in the Discovery Lab.  All students in
our school will now have the opportunity to learn about different states and the schools
that represent each one.

Parents
POSTCARDS ARE NEEDED!
If you would like to donate a Mississippi Postcard to the Discovery Lab that would be
great!  Please send the postcard with your child to school.  Please make sure that you
place a postcard stamp on it as well.  Thanks in advance for your support!
